Angiotropin Definition
Angiotropin is a potent angiogenesis factor isolated from the serum-free media of cultured, lectin-activated peripheral monocytes. (from Arch Surg 1989;124:693-8). Angiotropin is nonmitogenic but promotes angiogenesis by inducing migration of endothelial cells. (from Pharmacol Ther 1991;51:195-216)
