B-MYB Protein Definition
A MYB family transcription factor, B-MYB Protein is essential during cell cycle progression; MYBL2 activates CDC2 and cyclin D1 gene expression in proliferating fibroblasts. MYBL2 expression is regulated at the G1/S transition, and its transcription relies on E2F activity in a cell cycle-dependent manner. MYBL2 transcripts are detectable in a variety of dividing cell types. (from OMIM 601415 and NCI)
