BRCATA Protein Definition
The most frequently occurring constitutional reciprocal translocation in man is t(11;22)(q23;q11). The number of breast cancer cases is significantly higher than expected among the translocation carriers. The information should be useful in connection with counseling and screening. The BRCATA gene may be involved in the pathogenesis of breast cancer and is located at chromosome 11q23. (from OMIM 600048)
