Beta Adrenergic Receptor Kinase-2 Definition
Adrenergic, Beta, Receptor Kinase 2 (ADRBK2), encoded by the ADRBK2 gene, specifically phosphorylates the agonist-occupied and -activated form of the beta-adrenergic and related G protein-coupled receptors. ADRBK2 regulates desensitization of G protein-coupled receptors. Overall, the ADRBK2 enzyme has 85% amino acid similarity with ADRBK1, with the protein kinase Catalytic Domain Having 95% Similarity.
