Bisoprolol-Fumarate Hydrochlorothiazide Definition
A combination of a synthetic antihypertensive phenoxy-2-propanol derivative and a diuretic thiazide used for hypertension, Bisoprolol Fumarate Hydrochlorothiazide acts as a selective beta-1 (cardio) adrenergic antagonist, without membrane stabilizing activity or intrinsic sympathomimetic activity. Hydrochlorothiazide affects renal tubular electrolyte reabsorption, increasing excretion of sodium and chloride. (NCI04)
