CCR1 wt Allele Definition
Human CCR1 wild-type allele is located within 3p21 and is approximately 6 kb in length. This allele, which encodes C-C chemokine receptor type 1 protein, is involved in signal transduction and recruitment of effector immune cells to the site of inflammation. This allele has purported roles in host protection from inflammatory responses, and susceptibility to virus and parasite invasion.
