Human CUL3 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 2q36.2 and is approximately 115 kb in length. This allele, which encodes cullin-3 protein, plays a role in regulation of the G1/S transition of the cell cycle via the ubiquitination of certain cyclin proteins.
