Through decreased degradation, or increased production or receptor binding, Colony Stimulating Factor Activation involves induction of the activity of synergistic paracrine or autocrine glycoprotein growth factors (IL-3, G-CSF, M-CSF, and GM-CSF) that stimulate myeloid cell proliferation and differentiation of granulocyte and/or macrophage colonies.
