Through increased degradation, or decreased production or receptor binding, Colony Stimulating Factor Suppression involves interference with, or restraint of, the activities of synergistic paracrine or autocrine glycoprotein growth factors (IL-3, G-CSF, M-CSF, and GM-CSF) that stimulate myeloid cell proliferation and differentiation of granulocyte and/or macrophage colonies.
