Cyclin-Dependent Kinase Inhibitor-2A Definition
Product of the CDKN2A gene. Also called p16(INK4). A tumor suppressor and a negative regulator of progression through G1. p16(INK4) interacts with CDK4/CDK6, inhibiting their interaction with Cyclin D and the phosphorylation of RB.
