DNA Replication Factor Definition
DNA Replication Factor (CDT1), encoded by the CDT1 gene, is essential for DNA replication and chromatin licensing. Geminin inhibits inappropriate origin firing by targeting CDT1. CUL4 prevents aberrant reinitiation of DNA replication, at least in part, by facilitating the degradation of CDT1. (From LocusLink, OMIM and NCI)
