Ectopic Ventricular Rhythm Definition
A cardiac rhythm resulting from either an abnormal electrical focus in the ventrical. Ventricular ectopic beats (VEB) refer to a contraction of the lower heart chamber which occurs before it would be expected. Ventricular ectopic beats are also known as premature ventricular beats, premature ventricular complex (PVC), or ventricular extrasystole.
