FVT1 wt Allele Definition

Human FVT1 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 18q21.3 and is approximately 37 kb in length. This allele, which encodes 3-ketodihydrosphingosine reductase protein, is involved in sphingolipid biosynthesis. Translocation t(2;18)(p11;q21) of FVT1 with an Ig J kappa chain region is a cause of follicular lymphoma.
