Fibroblast Growth Factor-7 Definition
Fibroblast Growth Factor 7 (Keratinocyte Growth Factor) is a member of the fibroblast growth factor family that stimulates the growth of epithelial cells, but lacks mitogenic activity on fibroblasts or endothelial cells. FGF7 is a single polypeptide chain of about 28 kD that has predominant activity in keratinocytes. (from OMIM 148180 and NCI)
