Forkhead Box C2 Definition
The human forkhead box C2 protein (501aa, ~53 kDa) is encoded by the forkhead box C2 gene (FOXC2). The protein is involved in the formation of special mesenchymal tissues, and has been isolated in the nucleus. The protein also plays a role in adipocyte metabolism by increasing the sensitivity of the beta-adremergic CAMP protein kinase A.
