GLI2 Protein Definition
A Kruppel family protein, GLI2 Protein contains five DNA-binding zinc finger repeats and is implicated in transduction of the SHH signal. GLI2 is a putative oncogene in the development of human BCC. The expression of GLI2 in skin results in activation of multiple SHH target genes. (from OMIM 165230 and NCI)
