Human GRB7 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 17q12 and is approximately 9 kb in length. This allele, which encodes growth factor receptor-bound protein 7, is involved in the regulation of both epidermal growth factor receptor and ephrin receptor signal transduction pathways and plays a role in the modulation of both cellular adhesion and migration.
