HBXAP Protein Definition

Human HBV pX associated protein 8 (1431aa, ~163 kDa) is encoded by the human HBXAP gene. This nuclear protein is directly involved with the assembly of nucleosomes and can regulate transcription in association with other cofactors. There are three known isoforms of the protein.
