Histamine Receptor Interaction Definition
Histamine Receptor Binding involves a temporary non-covalent highly specific and high affinity interaction through intermolecular physical forces of attraction and spatial complementarity with a group of cell surface intrinsic membrane proteins that mediate the vasodilation, smooth muscle contraction, gastric secretion, tachycardia, hypersensitivity, and neurotransmission effects of histamine signaling molecules through modification of the activity of signal transduction pathways.
