The Holden Cancer Center at the University of Iowa coordinates all cancer-related research, education, and patient care throughout the University by faculty from 38 departments in six colleges, as well as UI Hospitals and Clinics. The Holden Cancer Center at the University of Iowa was recognized by the National Cancer Institute as an NCI-designated Cancer Center in 2000 and received 'comprehensive' status shortly thereafter.
