Imaging Guided Therapy Definition
The use of imaging techniques to provide the basis for therapy. eg. commonly used for surgery, such tools enable surgeons to visualize internal structures through an automated overlay of 3D reconstructions of internal anatomy on top of live video views of a patient. Also used for guidance of biopsy needles. (NCI/OSP)
