Lodenosine Definition
A synthetic purine fluoro-dideoxyadenosine derivative, antiviral Lodenosine acts as a reverse transcriptase inhibitor. Although used in clinical trials for treatment of human immunodeficiency (HIV), Lodenosine induces liver or kidney damage and its use has been reconsidered. (NCI04)
