Lubricant Excipient Definition
Lubricant excipient is a therapeutically inactive substance used to facilitate the release of stamped solid pharmaceutical dosage forms, e.g. tablets, out of the die once pressed, improving the efficiency of manufacturing. Magnesium stearate is an example.
