N-nitroso-N-methylurethane Definition
A synthetic organic agent, N-nitroso-N-methylurethane is carcinogenic in all species tested. Carcinogenic in single-dose experiments and following pre-natal exposure, it is used in experimental research to induce tumors at different sites by oral administration and other routes. N-nitroso-N-methylurethane has local as well as systemic carcinogenic effects. (NCI04)
