Nitric Oxide Activity Inhibition Definition
Through decreased production or release, Nitric Oxide Activity Inhibition involves interference with, or restraint of, the biological function of a substance (nitric oxide) formed by arginine oxidation catalyzed by Nitric Oxide Synthase that mediates cell communication, activates cytosolic guanylate cyclase or protein nitrosylation, and has a specific vasodilatory effect on vascular smooth muscle cells induced by acetylcholine and bradykinin, inhibits platelet aggregation, and mediates neuron to neuron signaling.
