Nucleoside Diphosphate Kinase-A Definition
Human nucleoside diphosphate kinase A protein (152 aa, ~17 kD) is encoded by the human NME1 gene. This protein is localized in both the nucleus and the cytoplasm and plays a major role in the synthesis of nucleoside triphosphates other than ATP. This protein is also known to be present in reduced amounts in tumor cells of high metastatic potential.
