RH1 Definition
An alkylating aziridinylbenzoquinone with potential antineoplastic activity. Activated by NAD(P)H: quinone acceptor oxidoreductase 1 (NQO1), RH1 induces interstrand DNA crosslinks in tumor cells that express NQO1, thereby irreversibly damaging DNA and resulting in cell death. (NCI04)
