Renal Tumor Antigen Definition
Expressed in heart, brain, lung, kidney, pancreas, placenta, liver, and skeletal muscle by human RAGE Gene (MAPK Family), 419-aa cytoplasmic Renal Tumor Antigen is 84% identical overall to the mouse protein (96% identical in the kinase domain) and structurally similar to other MAPKs, including a TEY motif in the activation loop that probably requires autophosphorylation and is required for kinase activity. MOK phosphorylates myelin basic protein. (NCI)
