Ribosome Inactivation Definition
Ribosome Inactivation involves interference with, or restraint of, the activity of small 120-150A diameter cytoplasmic ribonucleoprotein organelles composed of rRNA and some 80 different proteins that, assembled as a complex (free or attached to the ER), constitute the site of protein synthesis from aminoacyl-tRNAs as directed by mRNAs.
