Senokot Definition
A standardized, concentrated preparation, by Purdue, containing the anthraquinone glycosides sennosides extracted from senna leaves with laxative activity. Sennosides act on and irritate the lining of the intestine wall, thereby causing increased intestinal muscle contractions leading to vigorous bowel movement.
