Small Inducible Cytokine-A21 Definition

Secondary Lymphoid Tissue Chemokine is an endothelial CC (beta) subfamily chemokine expressed preferentially in lymph node tissue. Unlike other CC chemokines, SLC is specifically chemotactic for Th1 lymphocytes, and for dendritic cells. The ability of SLC to chemoattract both Th1 lymphocytes and dendritic cells formed the rationale to evaluate this chemokine in cancer immunotherapy. (from OMIM 602737 and NCI)
