Expressed in macrophage, monocyte-derived dendritic cells, thymus, lymph node, appendix, activated monocytes, resting and activated macrophages, lung, small intestine, and spleen by human CCL22 Gene (Intercrine Beta Family), secreted immunoregulatory 93-aa 11-kD (precursor) Small Inducible Cytokine A22 is a chemotactic factor for monocytes, dendritic cells, natural killer cells, and activated T lymphocytes that binds to receptor CCR4 and may play a role in activated/effector T lymphocyte trafficking to inflammatory sites.
