Tucks Definition
A commercial preparation, by Pfizer, containing witch hazel (Hamamelis virginiana) extract, with anti-pruritic activity. Witch hazel extract has been shown to inhibit alpha-glucosidase as well as human leukocyte elastase, enzymes which contribute to the degradation of connective tissue. Tucks hemorrhoidal wipes are used to relieve and soothe the irritation, burning and pruritis of hemorrhoidal tissue.
