By decreased degradation, or increased production or receptor binding, Tumor Necrosis Factor Activation involves induction of the activity of a family of cell surface or secreted cytotoxic glycoprotein cytokines (tumor necrosis factors) produced by activated leukocytes and involved in allergies, inflammation, lymphoid neogenesis, and lymphocyte homeostasis through stimulation of apoptosis.
