By increased degradation, or decreased production or receptor binding, Tumor Necrosis Factor Suppression involves interference with, or restraint of, the activities of a family of cell surface or secreted cytotoxic glycoprotein cytokines (tumor necrosis factors) produced by activated leukocytes and involved in allergies, inflammation, lymphoid neogenesis, and lymphocyte homeostasis through stimulation of apoptosis.
