Ubiquitin-D Definition
Expressed in DCs, B cells, germinal center cells, and crypt epithelia (not in basal cells) by single-copy human UBD Gene, 165-aa Ubiquitin D contains 2 ubiquitin-like domains, each with 2 Cys residues. Ubiquitin family proteins have many roles, including nonspecific ligation of polypeptides and protein-protein dimerization. (NCI)
