VAV2 Protein Definition
A member of the VAV oncogene family, VAV2 is a probable exchange factor for a RAS-like GTP-binding protein and responds to a cell surface receptor tyrosine kinase. Integrin-induced phosphorylation of VAV2 requires SYK. VAV2 contains a calponin-homology domain, a DBL-homology domain, a PH domain, a DAG binding domain, an SH2 domain, and SH3 domains.
