VKORC1 Protein Definition
Human vitamin K epoxide reductase complex, subunit 1 protein (163 aa, ~18.2 kDa) is encoded by the human vitamin K epoxide reductase complex, subunit 1 (VKORC1) gene. The protein is an integral membrane protein that is localized to the endoplasmic reticulum; and plays a role in vitamin K metabolism. The protein also plays an important role in blood coagulation.
