Encoded by human oncogene ZNF217 Gene (Kruppel Family), 1048-amino acid 115 kD Zinc Finger Protein 217 is a widely expressed transcription factor having a DNA-binding domain (eight C2H2-type zinc fingers) and a proline-rich transcription activation domain. ZNF217 is over expressed in cell lines and in tumors in which the gene is amplified. (OMIM, Swiss-Prot, LocusLink, and NCI)
